My Holy Grail - Signed Sonic 1

Words can not describe the awesome nature of this piece of Sonic history.

In my eyes, these two people are the most influential in Sonic's birth and early life, and both have been involved in his games for nearly a decade before stepping aside from Sonic Team to pursue their own endeavors.

I believe this is the most I spent on any single item. Yes I paid more for this than both of my TV's..... no I didn't actually have to sell my TV to get this LOL.

Fun Fact: I never owned the original Sonic the Hedgehog for the SEGA Genesis before until now. My first Sonic game I ever owned for myself is Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the SEGA Genesis. My parents noticed that I played a SEGA Genesis at my cousin's house more than I played on my Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Of course AFTER buying me a Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), did they get the picture and bought me a SEGA Genesis with Sonic 2 bundled. I never owned a Nintendo system after that until 1998 (when Pokemon was localized).

Fun Fact #2: I played my cousin's Sonic the Hedgehog 1 so much that it eventually stopped working. Distraught, I tried to fix it up with a mixture of masking and duct tape + blowing into the circuit board. My cousin scolded me afterwards.

Fun Fact #3: I was four and a half years old at Sonic's debut. Hell yeah I own more game systems than the average 5 year old today!

Fun Fact #4: The SEGA Genesis (bulkier first version) has a headphone jack and a volume slider. It retails for $149.99 USD.
