Five Days to get rid of my Pet Chickens?

Okay so I got home from driving my Mom around to do some errands and there was a note on my door from City Hall stating that I need a permit to keep my pet chickens, and I can't have the roosters.

I like to say wtf. My neighbors can have Pitbulls with no problems but I need to get a silly little permit to keep my birds? O___o;; And no rooster? My unhatched baby chicks will grow up without their daddy! D:

So yeah, we have five days to either obtain a permit and get rid of the two roosters, or get rid of all three hens, two roosters, and like 20 unhatched eggs. And even if we decide to keep the eggs and they hatch, how could we get rid of the male chicks since you know...  they grow up into roosters. Looking into chicken laws in this state a little further, unless you live in a farm, roosters are not allowed in any of the cities. What does City Hall expect me to do, kill the family pets?

I already had a big beef with California not allowing hedgehogs as pets *shakes fist*.

But anyway yeah, just ranting. It's not like I have an egg laying factory and abusing the chickens or anything.

(note: I have nothing against Pitbulls
Note2: I live Florida)

AAWWW! If someone told me to get rid of MY chickens I would be pretty upset myself.
